Coffs Council

The Coffs Harbour Greens Group covers the Coffs Harbour City Council area and we have worked hard to ensure there is Greens representation on council.  Here is the council's map of the Coffs Harbour shire.

Further details of the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area (LGA) can be found here.  This link also includes a lot of information about how council is run, including organisational charts, minutes and agendas.

Council meetings take place at 5pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday's of each month.  The public is invited and we would encourage you to attend to support Sally and see what is happening.  An agenda is usually available for the meeting, and briefing notes on the Friday prior to the meeting.

You are currently represented by Sally Townley.

Items we are currently concerned about:

Pioneer Park - although gazetted as a road, this area has been used as a public park for many years and has koala habitat trees within it.  We do not believe this valuable green space should be lost to save some inconvenience over a 6-8 week period.  We have organised a number of rallies to highlight this issue.

Some recent media is included here.

Airport Development

Please read this link to understand some of the issues we have with proposed land development in the airport precinct.

Council Meeting 14/4/16 including refugees, renewable energy and the world rally.

Stay tuned for even more!
