The Aina Ranke Memorial Photographic Competition

A Celebration of Coffs Harbour's Natural Beauty

This Competition has been created in memory of Aina Ranke, a much loved founding member of the Coffs Harbour Greens and a true lover of nature and its beauty. It will be an annual event and we hope it will grow and develop.


By entering your image/s into this competition you agree to the following conditions:


Entry is open to Australian residents who reside within the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area.
The competition opens on the 24th September 2015 and closes at midnight (AEDT) on 23rd October 2015. Only entries that are received during that time will be eligible for entry.


- Photograph must be taken by the entrant in the 12 month period up to the closing date of the competition. (Closing date 23rd October 2015)
- The photograph must be taken within the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area.
- The photograph should celebrate some aspect of our local government areas natural beauty.
- Photographs must be presented in soft copy format and sent to
- All entry details including name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, photo description and location must be completed.  ENTRY FORM (On completion you will be returned to our website) 
- By submitting a photograph entrants warrant that they took the photograph themselves and have copyright and all moral rights over the image.- By submitting a photograph entrants consent to the image being used for the purpose of the competition and for related matters including publicity.- Soft copies of the Images must be no larger than 4MB, and in PNG or JPG format.- Images must a single image. No collages or images containing multiple images will be accepted.- The entrant retains the copyright of images submitted as competition entries.- Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and will be rejected. We also reserve the right to disqualify any entry at our discretion.
- There is a limit of two entries per person (totalling two photos).  Each image to be entered on a separate entry form.


Judging will be via a four member panel. Decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. The judging panel are ineligible to enter the competition.

Photos will be judged not only on photographic merit but also on the feelings they evoke with regard to our local natural beauty.
There will be two sections:

1) Adults
2) Under 16 years of age.

A selection of entries will be shown via our website prior to the final decision.  A winner and a runner up will be chosen for each category.

The winners will be announced on SATURDAY 31st October (not the originally mentioned Friday 30th October) and the short-listed and winning entries will be mounted for exhibition with the “Animals in the Wild” photographic exhibition taking place from October 28th to 31st at Open Studio 2/25 Vernon Street Coffs Harbour. Winners will be advised via email and phone as soon as possible after the decision.
